Slowly working my way through my to-do list and I’m finally getting around to catching up on all my belated blog posts. Yay for weekends to catch up on all sorts of projects! Today’s blog post is about the books that are on my TBR (to be read) list. With the summer here, I’m hoping to work through a book or two this month before returning to university in August!
Audiobook of the Month (PHRC Book Club)
I haven’t gotten to start the audiobook for June, but it’s on hold via my library’s audiobook app, Libby. Magyk by Angie Sage will be an exciting book to listen to as I commute to and from work. The book was selected by the Facebook Group I’m an admin on, Potterhead Running Club Book Club. You can always find us via the FB group page!
PHRC Book Club
I started this book in the middle of May, after finals week and before my online May intermission course began. In a week, I was able to read ten chapters (100+ pages) and then ran into some time and energy management issues with resuming the book.
Forever Amber by Kathleen Winsor is my Mother’s favorite historical romance novel set in 17th- century England. I’d like to wrap up this book by the end of this month, so I can read through smaller books before another large book is read through for July.
I borrowed this book from my Mother’s shelf this past fall and would love to return this to my Mom when she plans to visit me in August so she can re-read this for the billionth time.
I have lots of books on my shelf I’m working through and I would like to reduce the amount of books I own, especially before I move closer to work/school at the end of the year. I always enjoy randomly picking up a book from the shelf and reading through it. This allows for the spontaneous energetic flow of letting your soul and subconscious pick your next read. Once or twice the perfect book at the right moment can always lift you up!
I’d like to get through some westerns and spiritual books, so we’ll see what the rest of June has in store!
