Today’s brief post is about the books on my to be read pile. Yesterday, I took one exam and my next exam is on Friday. I already finished one of the books I had on my TBR pile that was for the exam I had yesterday. Tomorrow I plan on starting this month’s mini series, which will last about six or seven posts.
Last month, or even in March, I embarked on starting one of the last set of books that was given to me to borrow. I’m at least five chapters into Altar Ego by Craig Groeschel and I should finish this book by the end of the week.
Most of the books I have had on my reading shelf this past semester are books that are half read and takes a while to work through. Altar Ego, Sherlock Holmes, and a sufism book are all waiting to be finished.
Since I’ve read the Mandala of Sherlock Holmes for class, I’ve decided to take a break from Sherlock Holmes books. I still have the original Sherlock Holmes book and the second volume to work through and I won a book from Book Riot featuring A Question of Holmes by Brittany Cavallaro! I love soy candles and one of my favorite shops sells unique fandom candles. If you go to Frostbeard Studios, you can buy a Sherlock Holmes candle! I used mine up before taking this picture and the Oxford candle (the last one I have) still works well for this photo!
I have The Winter Sister by Megan Collins ready to go, which was a gift given to me this spring. A book I won from Book Riot about the French Revolution (Enchantée by Gita Trelease) earlier this year is also one I’m ready to read. Hint, its the video I posted on Instagram a few months ago!
For the most part, the books I want to read this month will be on the fly picks. Which, are personally, my favorite times to pick books. No need to read one book over another- to just pick a book on the shelf and go!
If I get to these books I’ve mentioned than awesome! I may decide to pick up a mystery or even a western book to get me started on my summer reading. Then again, I might get to at least read one Sherlock Holmes book this month.
What’s on your TBR pile for this month? I’d love to read those books in the comments!
