Am Writing

Hello, May!  If you are new to my blog, then feel free to follow my blog for literature & lifestyle blog topics. Ever since September, I’ve been writing monthly insights on what’s going on in my world. I have been able to write book reviews on Wednesdays, and I hope to continue that momentum going for this month. Let’s begin. If you would like to follow me, always feel free to.

Word of the month: Change. I dislike this word, but this was what my intuition told me, a minute ago. Change is tough for me to adopt to, depending on what is changing. For me, I need to change certain habits (for example, I still chew my nails when I’m nervous.

Making: This hasn’t changed much. Meals are simple for me, because of the busy lifestyle I’ve adjusted to.

Drinking: Water, water, water. I’m still drinking more Iced Chai Tea Latte’s over regular coffee. Except on the days that it rains, then I switch to rose tea or dark roast coffee. Refreshers are my friend!

Watching: The downside to living where I am, is that I don’t get to watch many Red Sox games on TV. I only get to watch recap videos from time to time. Again, I haven’t been watching much TV lately. I canceled my Netflix two months ago. I don’t miss it.

Listening: I love songs that relate to the corresponding months. For me, End of May by Bublé is a top favorite of mine (not just for the month of May). If you have any favorite songs for a specific month, let me know in the comments. I love listening to new music!

Reading: Last month, I finished the following books: Keith William’s Poetry for a Wandering Soul and Meg Wolitzer’s The Female Persuasion. In 2016, I started a Harry Potter Summer Reading Challenge, a part of the Harry Potter Running Club (HRC- go look them up. They are a fantastic group). The Harry Potter Summer Reading Challenge begins May 1st and ends August 31st. The goal, is to listen to audio books, or read the HP series; Hogwarts Library; The Cursed Child Play; optional Fantastic Beast Screenplay. I still have not even won my own challenge, my own creation!

If you would like to join the HPSRC (Harry Potter Summer Reading Challenge), then feel free to join the Facebook discussion group here!

Book Marking: I have been following The Penny Hoarder for over two years now. This article, about eBook marketing, has helped me learn more about what steps I need to make for my own works.

My 2013 Kia Smart Car. It’s SO TINY!

Enjoying: I didn’t add this in for April’s Inventory Series, but I now own my first car! The 2004 Buick Lesabre I was using for 2016-2018, had to be traded in for this new car. In April, I only spent $35 on gas (unlike the usual $100). This smart car is great for City driving, and since I am not a fan of highway driving- I avoid it as much as possible.

Smelling: I’ve got various smells, ranging from New Moon to Fresh Day. I hope to buy more, so I can use them for rituals and the like. I used up all my candles last month, and then I was given new ones (by someone who didn’t want some of the candles they had).

Feeling: Okay. I’m just having to be patient for tomorrow evening, because I am going to a baseball game in Texas. Not just a game, but apparently a free post concert. It’ll be fun, being a Red Sox fan near the top of the stadium, siting center field. Because of the tight budget I live on, I hardly ever get to go anywhere and have fun. Every couple of months, I get to go on a fun local trip. I am hoping to let myself relax when I can, so I don’t burn out. Burning out is a problem in my little world, amongst other issues.

You can find this water bottle at Target. This helps me with my anxiety. A LOT.

What are some fun travel plans you have coming up for the Summer? Let me know in the comments, as I would love to chat with you about traveling! Have a fantastic month of May.
