I have been MIA for over 6 months online. Tomorrow, I go to the doctor for a follow up on a diagnosis I am healing with/from. I am also awaiting new psychiatrist appointments and diagnosis to help piece together my neurodivergent brain.
Note: Graphic credit goes to this canva artist. I changed up the colors to match this morning’s vibe.
Currently, I wish to return to teaching again. Until then- I am resting and recharging.
This quick 5 am post is a reminder to take a break. Here’s a list of some of the restful things I’ve done over the past 6 months:
- Personal phone DOES NOT go into the bedroom. This causes chaos in my sleep hygiene and distractions from resting.
- Remove social media from my personal phone
- iPad also is charged at night outside of the bedroom. I have yet to figure out what I want to do about sleep music. Soon, I want to try listening to white noise/brown noise to help me and my partner fall asleep.
- Laptop and desktop are turned off at night (computers need to sleep and
heal“reboot”, too) - When watching TV, keep the hands busy with a craft. I’ve always wanted to learn embriodery and I am halfway through my little project!

I would love to say “hey, I’ll be back next week wit ha blog post about xyz!” the odds though, of that happening, are very slim. I truly hope you all take in this simple reminder to rest. If you can follow me here on WordPress or any social media apps for the latest of lifestyles and literautre, please do so.
And don’t forget t o set an alarm for an hour from now to take a break from scrolling.
Cheers,
Danielle Sullivan

I am reminded that the winter season is here to show me that soft starts and stillness can go a long way.

Where Have I Been?
many aspects of my inner and outer world has shifted, that I truly don’t think it will be possible to return to a version of myself that no longer exists.
